PTP’s Congrés de Dones is a space for exchanging ideas on mobility from a feminist, intergenerational and intercultural perspective. Since 2019, the Congrés has grown constantly, advocating for the role of women both as users and professionals in the sector of mobility. Throughout lectures, debates and workshops, we’ve highlighted structural inequality in the design of mobility and society, while seeking inclusive and sustainable solutions. With a constant expansion on collaborations and topics addressed, the Congrés has become a key referent in promoting gender equality and defending women’s rights in the field of mobility.

Congrés 2025

Adopting an intersectional and feminist perspective on mobility requires integrating a broad temporal dimension, taking into account the needs of travel during off-peak hours—such as weekends, holidays, and nighttime periods. At night, distinct mobility patterns emerge, including a greater reliance on private vehicles and a lower relative participation of women in overall travel. Regarding long-distance mobility, numerous challenges also arise. Beyond the commitment to decarbonization, it is essential to promote high-quality public transport services that are adapted to the diversity of users.

In this context, this year we propose a conference that places nighttime mobility at the center of the debate from a feminist perspective. The event will serve as a space to share experiences, identify challenges, and propose solutions to move towards safer, more sustainable, and socially inclusive nighttime mobility.
